The 2018 Treasured Places event began with a short program and awards ceremony held in Alexandria, MN in Douglas County, which includes the Alexandria Moraine and Minnesota River Corridor Conservation Program Areas.
Volunteers, landowners, and partners are key to conservation success. At this year’s event, we honored:
- Chuck and Betty Selander, John Peck Volunteer of the Year
- Mike Niziolek, Landowner of the Year
- Partners for Fish and Wildlife Program (USFWS), Partner of the Year
Following the presentation, Dave Jacobson hosted a prairie tour at his 160-acre Century Farm north of Sauk Centre.
